I'd like to see a Chromecast device with phono or digital-audio connection instead of HDMI so it could be plugged directly into a decent sound system and not rely on TV. Obviously only any good for music, but you don't always want to have to turn to the TV to listen to music do you.

I was hoping the updated Hangouts App with SMS would magically allow SMSing from my Nexus 7 3g with a proper phone SIM and contract but no such luck. It seems the SMS functionality is disabled even if you have everything you should need; 3g, SMS capable apps, SIM, contract.



So any ideas how to enable the SMS capability?
