Upgraded to Oreo on Nexus 6p and some Google icons now have a white square background. It looks terrible but is also inconsistent across their own apps. What's with that?

How can you add Effects for different sets of lights? e.g. A disco effect for one room and another one for a different room so they can switched on independently without having to reconfigure the effect.
